But if you see compound numbers in your dream, do not get scared, because there is a simple solution for this situation: you must simply add up all the digits in the compound number until you obtain a basic number. For instance, the 1982 number may be 'decomposed' in 1+9+8+2 = 20. From here, we have 2+0 = 2. Up to this point, all you have to do is search for the meaning of the digit 2 in a Dream Dictionary or ask an expert to inform you on its symbolism.

On the other hand, numbers as a general dream symbol represent a warning that one runs out of time in accomplishing a project, dealing with a situation etc. in the waking life. Therefore, if you see numbers out of which you cannot make any sense, you should take the dream image as an advice to speed up things in your life. Adopting a more alert rhythm of life is usually a mandatory condition for gaining experience and achieving success and prosperity. We should not forget that it is a jungle out there and those who cannot keep up the pace will fall behind and only get the 'leftovers' from others.

A dream of numbers may also stand for your need to avoid taking things too easily and make a logical, calculated move in the waking life.
