Dreams: Boar

If a boar appears in your dream this means that you should attentively look inside you and closely introspect your soul to find answers to questions about yourself and the others around you. The boar is by definition the wild pig which lives alone (from Lat. Singularis porcus) so, consequently, its presence in dreams may point to a lonely, isolated soul. As a pun, 'boar' is the homonym for 'bore', therefore it stands for a dull, unenthusiastic character.

The boar may also announce the presence around you of a person who does not wish you well and will aggressively attack you as soon as the right moment comes.

The boar is an energetic wild animal and this associates it with your 'animal', untamed side, with your instincts and primitive desires, such as sexual desires and fantasies. Linked to the energy of the heavy animal, this 'wild', irrational tendencies attempt to come out to light and rule your life. But you should see this - the boar in your dream - as a warning and try to tame your instincts by resorting to reason and intellect.

Symbolizing the 'animal' division of the psyche (self), the boar may also stand for your success when it comes to conquering the attention of the opposite sex, but only physically.
