Dreams: Grasshopper

Like almost all insects, grasshoppers are a bad omen when appearing in dreams and they stand for upcoming troubles, secret enemies and unhappy events in your waking life. If the grasshoppers are seen on green vegetables, this means that mean and sly individuals threaten your best interests and you should be very careful about whom you trust and whom you don't, as well as about the way in which you manage your businesses - let there be no risk to endanger the success of your undertakings. On the other hand, if you see grasshoppers on withered plants, this foretells poor health and upcoming illnesses.

Moreover, like all insects, grasshoppers signify instability and lack of commitment. If you have dreams about grasshoppers, it means you find it hard to settle down and remain faithful to a single partner or to go on the same 'path of life' for ever. You are moody and have a changeable temper, as well as being characterized by inconstancy in wishes and goals. The grasshoppers continuously leaping from one blade of grass to another represent your changing moods and appear in dreams to call your attention upon the fact that this is a character flaw which must be rectified.

Grasshoppers may also stand for bad luck and complications to interfere in your businesses or personal affairs. However, if you strive hard enough to avoid any unhappy situation and make things work, then everything will eventually turn out fine. If in your dream you draw the attention of other individuals towards grasshoppers, this means that you are a bit too loquacious, especially when it comes to discussing your private affairs. Therefore, try not to talk too 'loosely' and avoid letting the cat out of the bag when it comes to personal affairs.

Grasshoppers as dreams symbols may also be associated with 'stains' on our soul, with feelings of guilt, fear etc, with thoughts and ideas which bother us. Consequently, in order to 'erase' the image of grasshoppers or insects in general from our dreams we should clean our conscious and soul first.

If in your dream you chase away or exterminate grasshoppers, this means that all will end up well, even if you will experience some problems in your career, financial status, personal life etc.

Even if these leaping insects usually bear a negative significance when populating our dreams, there are cases in which they should be associated with one's strong wish for independence and freedom - physical, psychological or/and spiritual.
