Dreams: Red

Red is maybe the most intense color in the optical spectrum. When the dominant color in a dream, it stands for passion and optimism, enthusiasm and joy. It is also a known fact that red enhances activity, as it represents raw energy, dynamism and stamina, force and vigor.

Besides bringing about vitality, it is also the color of courage and self-confidence. When dominating one's dreams, red may also represent a concise characterization of the individual - he/ she has an independent and extrovert nature, likes to have the freedom of choice and always speaks his/her mind. Moreover, such a person is daring, energetic and dynamic and will do whatever it takes to attain his/ her goals.

On the other hand, we should not forget about the fact that red can also stand for anger, aggressiveness and danger. In this light, red as dream image bears a negative significance and represents all the repressed feelings, emotions, fears, anxieties and unsolved conflicts gathered up inside one's subconscious. This emotional imbalance one experiences in the waking life is also symbolized by the black strong non-color. But the red color, with its more vivid tones, may forewarn a 'blow up' soon to come due to excessive negative energy accumulated within one's soul and subconscious.

If one sees red in his/ her dream as the color of blood or of something else connected with health disorders, then it may be a bad omen forewarning bad luck, failure in undertakings and unhappy events to follow in one's waking life.
