Supermodel in new TV commercial
It was announced since late last year that British model of the moment Agyness Deyn was going to be the face of Burberry's perfume, "The Beat". Now, the television commercial is finally out and everybody can see Agyness prancing around and rocking it for the cameras. The TV ad was directed by Fabian Baron, who managed to capture the supermodel's energy and freshness.
The commercial features Agyness, dressed in her usual funky style, with a pair of boxers, a white undershirt with a black bra over, a large scarf and a sweater resembling rather a bath robe. She is on heels however, and she dances in front of the cameras, making all sorts of faces, to suggest that she really enjoys the music, as well as the perfume. The fragrance is presented three times in the ad, but each time very shortly.
The multiplying image of Agyness while dancing suggests the energy of the fragrance and the multiple scents combined into one. This is just one of the many advertising campaigns that the blonde boyish beauty has been involved in lately, as she is also the face of Gold by Giles Deacon at New Look, replacing Drew Barrymore, and Reebok.
Named by many "the new Kate Moss", Agyness really managed to take Kate's style icon throne this year, when she was named most fashionable woman by Tatler magazine, after Moss owned the title for two years in a row. She also won the title Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2007, after already having hit the catwalk for famous designers and appeared in advertisements for Vivienne Westwood, Anna Sui, Giorgio Armani, John Galliano, Cacharel and Blumarine.
As for Burberry, although it is a British luxury fashion house manufacturing clothing and other apparel, it's better known for its exclusive fragrances and fashionable bags than for its clothing designs, while their trademark check pattern has become more and more copied.
