This young singer had barely announced her engagement and is yet to deny rumors about a pregnancy, but word in the media is that her father and manager is already busy at work making money off her. Joe Simpson is apparently trying to sell exclusive interviews and photos of his younger daughter Ashlee and the amount he's asking for is not too little to be dismissed just like that.

Various sources have spoken to the tabloids and revealed that Joe has been doing the media circuit ever since Ashlee announced her engagement to emo rocker Pete Wentz, in the hope that he'll be able to sell anything Ashlee-related, from photos to interviews. But Joe's not singing that easily about his daughter's private life, it has been said, and he'll only due it after being payed $1 million by whoever is interested in what he has to say.

"'The deal would include photos of Ashlee - taken by Joe, of course, so he can make more money - an interview and photos of the baby when she has it,' our source said. Sadly, there is some interest - but not for anything close to $1 million. One magazine editor said the pictures would fetch '$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million'." PageSix writes, citing an unnamed but reliable source.

The same insider goes on to say that the pregnancy in itself is quite convenient at the moment, especially since Ashlee's album is scheduled for release soon and she's now enjoying more media attention than ever. "'Bittersweet World' is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee's lucky she got pregnant, frankly. But even with the marriage announcement, Joe has an unrealistic expectation of what Ashlee can command," PageSix goes on to say, still quoting the unnamed source.

For the record, Ashlee Simpson has not yet denied or confirmed being pregnant so, whether a contract for photos of her yet unborn baby (if that be the case) has already been signed is still a matter of pure speculation.
