Many may not have heard her name, but they must have seen at least one of her steamy pictorials, displaying sexy lingerie. Although she is not that famous in the US, she's created quite a stir overseas most of which being due to her being a lingerie queen, showing off her goddess body as well as her old-Hollywood star look in almost all the pictures taken of her.

Catrinel was born and raised in Iasi, city within the Moldavian region of Romania, and she first started her career as an athlete, before being discovered and introduced into the world of modeling. The 21-year-old beauty was born on October 1st 1985 and discovered at the age of 16 by a local agent who later brought her to the Romanian capital Bucharest to start working with the MRA modeling agency. It wasn't long before she started an international career as a model.

The brown-haired, hazel-eyed sex bomb got noticed in the Ford Model's Supermodel of the World Romania contest, in 2001, where she won the second runner-up prize. Since then she took part in ad campaigns for labels like ADK, Bruno Manetti, Club Neuf, Cotton Club, Emporio Armani Underwear, Hunkemoller, ID Sarrieri, Infiore, JBS, Levi's, Lily, Lovable, Rosemarie, Slip & Bra, Triumph and Valisere. She is currently the face of Versace worldwide. And although she is living in Milan at present she is working for mostly lingerie clients all over the world, between New York, London, Munich, Hamburg, Athens or Barcelona.

Catrinel states that her hobbies are traveling, ballet and sports and she is known for her lower belly tattoo saying "Massimo per sempre", "Massimo for ever". That is the name of her husband, because, although she is only 21, Catrinel is happily married to Massimo Brambati, former football player for Juventus Torino and now member of the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA).

Catrinel Menghia is only one of the many Romanian top models who have claimed their spot on the international runways and in magazines and ads for globally famous fashion labels. However, she is one of the few, after Victoria's Secret angels to have taken the world by storm only in her lingerie. And the beautiful Romanian has just gotten started.
