Kate Moss' latest collection for the high street retailer Topshop landed in stores today. This is the supermodel's fifth collection for the chain and, just like the previous ones, it draws heavily on influences from her own wardrobe. Kate is not only the creative mind behind the designs, she is also the one who models them and Daily Mail has gotten their hands on a few pics of Moss presenting some of the outfits from her summer collection.
The clothing line comprises under her signature tea dresses, flower printed, with ruffles and frills - one of the key pieces is a daisy print ruffle front tea dress - waistcoats, she poses in a cream suede tasseled waistcoat, red mirror studded hotpants, diagonally striped shirts and skinny trousers and jeans with various patterns.
Also new for Topshop this spring is the fact that Kate came with another clothing range signed by her, Kate Moss Premium, which will also bear her trademark style but it will have a much more vintage appeal. This one will retail for higher prices considering the costly techniques of beading and embroidery, so each item will cost about $300, which puts the Premium range in direct competition with the "middle-market" chains, such as Reiss, Jigsaw and Whistles.
The items that stand out are a twenties-style black mesh beaded dress and a black satin beaded Victorian cape that took inspiration from a present that Kate bought for a friend and then borrowed because she liked it too much.
Kate's collaboration with Topshop started in 2006 and her first collection was launched in the spring of 2007. Since then her outfits have always been bought by all sorts of women, be they celebrities or not. Her line of jeans was the one to retail the best and not even her drugs and alcohol issues could cause a drop in their request.
