It has often been said that the MTV produced reality show "The Hills" is probably the most scripted and predictable of its kind so far, but until a few hours ago the public was left with the impression that at least what we saw of its stars off camera was real. Rumors swirl that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, two of the stars of "The Hills", are actually faker in real life than on the show and their most recent photos are clearly indicative of that.
The most recent rumor regarding the blonde couple says that whatever photos of them we see in the media are actually photo ops orchestrated by them and a paparazzi agency to which they're basically signed. After the pics are sold to the media, the two budding celebrities and the agency split the profits in half, it has also been claimed, and this is not something that happens just occasionally but as often as possible without being too obvious.
"The gruesome twosome went to Central Park and brought along several changes of clothes so that they could stage lots of 'exclusive' pics with their house photog and make it seem like they were there more than one day. Plus, different outfit changes increase the likelihood that different media outlets will buy different pics," gossip blogger Perez Hilton writes about Heidi and Spencer's latest candid shots, citing unnamed sources from the industry.
In all fairness, celebrities striking deals with certain paparazzi agencies to which they thus grant more coverage is not as uncommon as they would like us to believe. Just for the sake of comparison, Britney Spears herself is said to be "signed on" to such an agency, whose paps are always following around. Granted this were true, Heidi and Spencer would be nothing more but capitalizing on their 15 minutes of fame.
