41-year-old screen siren Halle and professional model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry have become the proud parents of a baby girl this Sunday. Media reports say Berry was taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, but no word yet on whether she underwent a C-section or chose the old-fashioned way of becoming a mommy. However, her rep says, both she and the child, whose name has yet to be announced, are "doing great".
This is the first child for both Halle and Gabriel who have been dating since 2005, when they met during a fashion photo shoot for Versace. Although rumors of an engagement have often surrounded the couple, they repeatedly denied them, with gorgeous Halle insisting time and time again that the pregnancy was a blessing that would not necessarily lead to their marriage but more so something she might get to "do only this time".
A while back, just weeks after Halle made her pregnancy common knowledge, she openly expressed her belief that she might have a girl, although she had not taken an ultrasound to determine the gender of the child. At the time, the "Catwoman" star said that because Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" kept playing on her iPod, "even though it's on shuffle", both she and Grabiel were certain that the new addition to their life as a couple would turn out to be a girl.
Until the actress makes the newcomer's name public, which might take another few days until both are sent home from the hospital, the only thing that's certain about the littlest star in Hollywood at the moment is that "We know the last name will be Aubry", as Halle said a few weeks ago. There is also a slight probability that the baby girl be named after a relative of Halle's, as she hinted during one of her most recent interviews, so just keep an eye here to see which of the two she'll go for.
