I will admit to liking both of the Pirate of the Caribbean movies that have been released. Sure, they don't excel when it comes to acting or storyline but come on, there are so many pirates in it you have no reason not to love them! That's why I got giddy with anticipation when I saw the release of some new footage from the yet unreleased movie (by the way, it's coming on the big-screen on the 25th of May, that being in less than a month from now - Arrrrrrr).
SlashFilms has the pleasure to treat us to 2 minutes and 13 seconds of movie scenes and short discussions from the cast, telling how amazing and awesome the movie is going to be. And after watching the featurette thing (who invented that word and why?) I have to agree with them - and that's not just my pirate fetish talking. 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' features Keira Knightly playing the adventurous and foxy Elizabeth Swan (who seems to get even more luscious and intriguing), the I-have-no-words-to-describe-his-hotness Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Of course, the rest of the cast is also impressive, plus we have that guy playing the squid dude, who you have to admit is quite the charmer.
The movie seems to be very well done, with special effects having that extra edge all high-investment productions seem to get. The third Pirates of the Caribbean movie is supposed to give an ending to all of the characters' stories, thus putting to rest the worries that kept us (me) wide awake at night. The one thing that annoys me about this movie is that little monkey. Why couldn't it be a parrot? I don't like monkey, I like parrots, even though I'm not sure which one would be able to poke out my eyes faster. Hmmm.... such dilemmas!
