Rihanna is gorgeous and there's no denying that. Be them the product of great lighting, professional make-up and the effort of an entire team of stylists, her appearances are always classy, sexy and impeccable. Unlike other stars her age, the 19-year-old songstress is a sassy combination of sexy elegance and innocence and she always manages to impress fashion critics with her down-to-earth yet high fashion sense. Of course, that doesn't mean that she isn't prone to that nasty thing called a boob slip... you know you can't escape it if it really wants to happen!

A couple of days ago, Rihanna committed her first fashion faux pas, by coming on the red carpet at a NASCAR event dressed in something that closely resembles a garbage bag made of '70s wallpaper. Talk about a blast from the past! But RiRi's night was far from over with that: aside from having to deal with the glare of the cameras and the embarrassment to wear such an atrocious outfit (which also bore a striking similarity with one of those lampshades you see in crappy porns), she also had to face the cruel reality of the fact that her dress (probably aware of its own atrociousness) refused to stay on!

Now, personally, I don't know what was going on in Rihanna's mind that day but I can't help thinking that any woman in her right mind would have worn the dress for at least half an hour before leaving home. You see, these strapless tight things do have a tendency to run down your body, especially since there's nothing to keep them on, neither above the cut (like straps or tape) or below it (like a bra or something). But Rihanna probably thought she could handle anything the dress would have thrown at her. In the end, though, it was the singer who won this fierce battle of to-slip-or-not-to-boob-slip, and not the dress as expected.

Unfortunately, the struggle (illustrated in the pictures above) also made the singer's time spent on the red carpet a tad shorter because, obviously, she was in no condition to pose for photos. Try as she might, she simply couldn't make that thing stay on so, in the end, Rihanna chose to pose with her hands on the dress and then off she went, presumably to fix the problem. To add insult to injury, she still had her cast on so, with one leg in the air and both boobs almost ready to pop out of the dreadful dress, we can easily conclude by saying that that day was clearly not Rihanna's day.

On the other side, this fashion incident will go down in history as 'the boob slip that almost happened'. So, word of advice to Rihanna: avoid wearing strapless and braless dresses from now on because they do tend to be quite a bitch, especially when combined, or if you really have your mind set on donning them, then, just let go for Pete's sake. Nothing (and I really mean nothing!) can be more awkward than wearing such a crazy dress and/or pulling on it to stay on! Plus, think of the many people you would make happy if, for once, you would just give up...
