Britney Spears is in a lot of trouble, if anything of what you're about to read is true. As a matter of fact, even if all of these "facts" are not entirely accurate, she will still have to come up with a pretty good excuse for causing all that ruckus that ended just minutes ago. Basically, last night, after Spears finally showed up for her scheduled deposition (two hours later than the appointed hour, nonetheless!), she reportedly locked herself in her gated mansion on The Summit with her two children, refusing to let Kevin Federline's bodyguard to pick them up, as her visitation hours were over. And then madness ensued, which only ended when the popwreck was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance!
Several police cars, one engine from the fire department, more than one ambulance and several news helicopters appeared on the scene immediately, thus alerting the paparazzi that something was wrong at Britney's house. As soon as the police confirmed that there was a "custodial dispute" taking place (i.e. Britney was refusing to let the children go with their daddy's bodyguard), the area was flooded with the paps who were, nonetheless, asked to not park on the premise, but only a mile or so away and walk on foot to the compound. More police soon arrived on the scene, to take part in a standoff that lasted for almost four hours, during which time the officers tried repeatedly to convince Britney that she would stand great chances of losing the custody of the kids completely if she did not obey the court orders.
Rumors, coming from the witnesses present, have it that, when the police arrived they found Britney under the "influence of an unknown substance", which might have also constituted the reason for which she refused so blindly to allow her children to leave with the bodyguard. After a long dispute, the former pop star was wheeled out of the house on a gurney, put on the ambulance and rushed to the UCLA Medical Center. After the frenzy died down a bit, the children were handed to their father, Kevin, who was also present at the compound with his lawyer and Britney's legal representative (who only yesterday announced that he would no longer be working for her).
Allegedly, Britney's breakdown was caused by drugs and this is precisely why she was taken to the hospital. While initial reports said that it was the policemen and the situation that demanded a visit to the hospital in order to have her tested for any substance abuse (as a previously issued court order states that she is not to consume drugs or alcohol for at least 24 hours before staying with the children), more and more media outlets are now claiming that Britney Spears was, in fact, rushed in the ambulance for a mental evaluation. Not that it would be the first time we got rumors about her mental instability either, but this time it's more serious than just a plain rumor.
