Since today is women's day I figured I would not let this event pass unnoticed here on our pretty (not so) little site and mark the occasion by writing a modern version of an ode to my girl (sorry I can't write for every woman out there - haven't met all y'all just yet - but if some of this stuff applies to you, feel free to take it as a compliment from me).
Usually, the Understanding Women column is used by us men to bitch and whine about all those things we hate about girls, what ticks us off and what drives us mad (I use the term "us" lightly here). Today, it's going to be the exact opposite in my shameless attempt to redeem myself to all the ladies that I have outraged in the past. So here it goes, the things that my girls does and I love about here, listed in random order:
-
I love it when she puts on sexy lingerie just to have something to slip out of when we make love
-
I love how she looks when she comes out of the shower
-
I love it when her mothering instincts kick in if I hurt myself or fall ill and she looks after me
-
I love it when she gives me that "I'm naughty" look
-
I love her because she's prettier than me but never said it and never held it against me
-
I love it when she wants to have sex in the morning
-
I love her because she always makes a list when we go shopping but never sticks to it
-
I love her because she's got blue-green eyes and a smile to die for
-
I love her because she always calls me by my name (we don't have pet names), I didn't know it could sound so sweet
-
I love her because she didn't take me to see her parents until after four months had passed since we began seeing each other
-
I love how she doesn't call me every ten seconds to ask me how I am and what am I doing
-
I love it when she lets me get drunk and when I have a hangover, she helps me get better
-
I love it when she shows me some nice piece of a*s walking by
-
I love that she can cook, not as good as me, but at least she's trying
-
I love her because she knows she's got a fine a*s and she keeps walking in tight pants, even around the house
-
I love seeing her in the kitchen in the morning wearing nothing but one of my t-shirts
-
I love that she's smarter than me but never brought it up
-
I love that she has a huge sense of humor and doesn't get offended, even if I put her down (not in public)
-
I love it when she calls me an "insensitive a*shole", her "insensitive a*shole"
-
I love the way her hair smells on the pillow in the morning
-
I love the way she gets red in the face when she's angry, makes her look so cute
-
I love that she doesn't mind my passion for Charlize Theron but lets me be jealous of Johnny Depp
And finally, I love her because she loves me... no one else would, except maybe for my mum, but then again she had to, it came with the job description. Happy Women's Day, girls! Have a nice spring!
PS. Guys, don't worry, I'll be back next week, back to my raunchy, evil, misogynistic self again. Take care!
