Girls Aloud platinum-blonde star, Sarah Harding, has reportedly been dropped as the face of Ultimo lingerie. Although the singer signed a contract in worth of approximately $200,000 with the bra manufacturers last year and she expected to renew her contract again for a larger sum, Ultimo are said to have signed with another girl band singer, none other than Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls.
According to People, sources say that "Sarah's a bit upset but she is sure she won't be short of modeling offers - plus she's really busy with the group. She's got more than enough going on." The two girl bands are similar in so many aspects, from their singing and scenic appearance to the projects they get involved into, apparently, and now Nicole Scherzinger has won the secret battle for popularity between the Girls and the Pussycats.
Sarah had signed the deal with Ultimo back in April 2007 and she was one of the many beautiful and famous women to have modeled for the Scottish lingerie company, following Penny Lancaster, Rod Stewart's girlfriend, who was the first Ultimo girl, Rachel Hunter and Helena Christensen, Kimberly Stewart, Samantha Mumba and Gemma Atkinson.
Sarah was reportedly chosen by the lingerie brand after she was seen wearing a bikini on holiday in the papers. The label was so thrilled with their collaboration, which boosted their sales in the UK, that this decision seems rather odd. However, considering the fact that the information comes from British tabloids instead of fashion magazines or newspapers, it's very likely that the rumor is not true, like it happened in the case of Kate Moss, who was reportedly being dumped by Rimmel London for a younger face. So far, none of the reps have confirmed or dismissed the info which means that people have to have some more patience until they find out which girl is going to undress and show them her underwear in ad campaigns.
