Valerie Tyler's jewelry design

Sleek Balance NecklaceI think I have mentioned before, in my previous articles on jewelry that I have a thing for silver so it doesn't take much to guess that today's collection is made of the same metal. And trust me, you will simply love it. Valerie Tyler, its designer, smoothly combines sterling silver with quartz, onyx, copper, glass pearls, jasper and agate, chalcedony, jet shell beads and Swarovski crystals.

I have to tell you that it gets to you even without seeing too many of the items, if you see what Valerie herself has to say about her work: "Many pieces you are invited to peruse, discover and enjoy are inspired by simple shapes, scrolls and swirls. I aim to create designs that are modern, sleek and streamlined. Jewelry should be more than an accessory, it should be art!". I totally agree with her and I believe her jewelry can truly be considered a work of art.

Her collection includes modern twists on simple geometric designs as well as intricate wire-wrapped scrolls. You will find uniqueness in the way that she combines feminine with industrial elements, giving it all a sleek, urban look. Her multiple sources of inspiration transcend in her jewels, making them irresistible to anyone: "I've studied all sorts of jewelry designers to encourage myself to be creative about shape and form. I'm also an avid reader. I've used things such as old iron-work design books, or weaving patterns, as well as architectural details on buildings to get ideas. In addition, I take inspiration from geometry and nature. I love simple shapes, and I'm obsessed with scrolls. I love to combine such designs in new ways."

Nobody will be able to ignore the fashion statement that you are trying to make through these jewels, and you can explore all your personality's faces by wearing different items from the collection, according to your mood. You can bring out the inner urban diva in you with the Urban Diva necklace, for instance, or have a little fun with the Urban Bubbles necklace which combines a streamlined modern design with a drop of playfulness. There is a lot more going on though, because Valerie seems to have thought of any occasion and any type of person, so that her designs range from funk to vintage elegance and can be worn on any occasion, even a wedding. Check out her designs and see what you fancy.

Oh thank you! I just stumbled across this. I would love to know how you came across my designs.

I do try to have a diversity of items, personally I'd be bored if I made things that looked too much alike.

Thanks again.

~Valerie
